Parker #2 eyedropper fountain pen (1898-1910)
Parker #2 Lucky Curve taper cap eyedropper (1898-1910)
My love for the early vintage eyedropper pen continues with this very early and very rare Parker #2 Lucky Curve taper cap eyedropper. This pen is circa 1898 -1910 and is in exceptional condition. It has bold chaseing and imprint. Two high relief gold filled bands exhibit no wear or brassing. Pen cap fits and posts correctly. Pen has it's original #2 size fine point flexible Lucky Curve Nib and correct Lucky Curve Feed. Color is a little aged but the photography has greatly enhanced the brown.
A new high-end pen was introduced in 1907, the Parker #42 ½. It was a beautiful pen with a chased body and with a very broad engraved gold band around the body with a large name plate in the middle. It also had a heavy gold crown on the cap. It was moderately priced at $4.50 during the 1907.
I have been slow in finding vintage pen lately owing to the lack of nice pens in the market. After some searching, I have finally found the eyedropper with beautiful ornate and gold filled trim.
