I was lucky to find a special set in very nice condition. This is a 1948 Parker 51 Pen and Pencil Set with silver caps.

Some of the neat things about this set:

It has Sterling Silver Caps. The imprint shows in the pictures, they are in good shape.
It was made in the last quarter of 1948. (See the picture with the tiny 8 on the barrel.) This makes it one of the last 51 Vacumatics made, from ‘49’ on, the 51’s were aerometric.
A fine nib leaning toward medium..
A Blue Diamond clip even though this clip was discontinued in 1947, some were left over and used in 1948. This was the last year “Parker” was written on the clip.
