The Parker UK Duofold

The Parker Dufold UK version are often being neglected by collectors. The Parker Duofold first debuted in 1921 and quickly became one of Parker's most popular and recognizable pen lines. The UK version of the Duofold was introduced a bit later, in the 1930s, as Parker expanded distribution of the model internationally.

Some key details about the UK Parker Duofold:

- It featured the same classic cigar-shaped body design as the original Duofold, but with some minor stylistic differences tailored for the UK market.

- The UK Duofold was available in a variety of color options, including the iconic black and pearl finishes that were popular globally.

- Parker used a 14K gold nib on the UK Duofold, which was a step up from the 18K nib used on some US models at the time.

- Pricing for the UK Duofold was structured a bit differently, with the fountain pen typically selling for around £1-2, making it a premium but still accessible pen for British consumers.

- The UK Duofold maintained its popularity through the 1930s, 40s, and 50s, becoming a staple of Parker's lineup in that market.

Let me know if you need any other details about the specific UK version of the classic Parker Duofold pen.

Parker kept the Duofold name alive longer in the UK and Europe than in the USA.  Some of the sturdiest, best writing vintage pens around are the English and Danish made Aerometric-filling Duofolds from the '50s and '60s. It comes in a varieties of colours and sizes. Colors included black, blue, red, brown and the green.  All were equipped with conventional 14K gold nibs, many of which are wider and more flexible than their US-made contemporaries, though tending to have a softer feel.
