Parker Duofold Mandarin yellow Fountain Pen (Dec 2022)

This is a Parker Duofold mandarin yellow senior.  The mandarin yellow Duofold is one of the rarest among the Duofold. This is the yellow version of the  Duofold and It is difficult to find in good condition as the material is very fragile. Most of the Mandarin have a crack or two at the cap lip, which clearly decrease the value of the pen. The yellow color can also be discolored, tarnished. I read from the web site that the Junior size version was used by the famous writer Colette. This color was less sold than the others and this also explains why this pen is quite rare today. There are also black, blue and Orange red versions.

I have managed to find this Mandarin Yellow in Hong Kong as the seller inherited these pens from her uncle who has migrated overseas. I have not bought vintage fountain pens for many years and I am glad that I have found this Duofold in Mandarin yellow! Nice Christmas present!
